Isabelle Filliozat

One of Europe's Most Influential Parenting Experts and Bestselling Author

Isabelle Filliozat is widely regarded as France’s leading authority on positive parenting, emotional development, and trauma-informed care. A psychotherapist, international speaker, and bestselling author of more than fifty books translated into twenty-nine languages, she has spent over thirty years training professionals across healthcare, education, business, and public services.

She developed an integrative empathic approach that has influenced thousands of practitioners and parents. A pioneer of positive parenting in France, she founded the Filliozat Workshops, which provide training for parents and early childhood professionals.

In 2019–2020, she served as Vice-President of the French Commission on the First 1000 Days, established by President Emmanuel Macron to improve child development from pregnancy to the age of two. She is also co-director and lecturer of the University Diploma on the First 1000 Days at the University of Lille and a founding member of the “Marseille, Trauma-Informed City” initiative.

Her current work focuses on the impact of early-life experiences and the prenatal and early childhood environment on lifelong physical, emotional, and mental health.
